Love is the emotional response to one's own highest values embodied in someone else. Virtue in exchange for virtue, respect in exchange for respect, admiration in exchange for admiration, true love is only capable to those with the highest level of self-esteem and self worth. Love is the most selfish of all emotions and values, and must be earned.
